Working alongside International Care Ministries (ICM) transformed my understanding of migration, poverty, and opportunity. Spending time with families across the Philippines revealed that migration is rarely an isolated decision, it is often the outcome of limited opportunities, financial uncertainty, and the hope of creating a better future.
These experiences continue to shape both my research and my commitment to community-driven solutions.
Founding ICM Students Singapore
Turning Awareness into Action
Founded in 2025, ICM Students Singapore is the first official student-led network established in partnership with International Care Ministries (ICM), bringing together students who are passionate about poverty alleviation, community engagement, and sustainable development.
The initiative empowers students to move beyond awareness by creating opportunities to engage directly with the realities of poverty through fundraising, advocacy, service, and educational programmes.

WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL & DISABILITY INCLUSION
Hosted UWCSEA’s first-ever wheelchair basketball tournament in partnership with the Wheelchair Basketball Association of Singapore, creating an inclusive sporting platform that brought together wheelchair athletes and the wider school community.

STORYTELLING FOR INCLUSION
To extend the impact beyond the court, created a short film advocating for wheelchair basketball and disability inclusion. Through visual storytelling, the film highlighted the sport, amplified the visibility of wheelchair athletes, and encouraged audiences to rethink how disability is represented in sport.
